I Would Worship, But…

A great post at Thinklings and a responding post at Think Christian make some great points about the worship music wars.

Unity of the body has been weighing on me recently, conviction for my own divisive comments included. These articles are trying to build some bridges, trying to point out our common ground, and trying to stop us quibbling on details and start worshipping our incredible God. Even on a topic like this, the comments are full of “Well, I would do this if their music wasn’t so [repetitive / boring / shallow / incomprehensible / ungodly].”

ThinkChristian’s title is going to be my breath prayer for the next little while:

“Shut up and worship.”
