A morning on the farm

MrsPages on June 5th, 2007

Farm Morning
I have never been on a farm in the morning.

I thought up this poem out of imagination and of what I know about farms.

Farms and animals were always interesting to me. My favourite animals, like many other girls, are horses.

Now I present you with:

A morning on the farm
The horses neigh and the cows moo,
As I’m walking along the path.
The chickens cluck and the pigeons coo,
As I’m walking along the path.
The sky is purple in the rising sun,
As I’m walking along the path.
I’m actually having a lot of fun
As I’m walking along the path.
I looked at the animals they looked back at me,
A farm in the morning is a nice place to be.

A poem of our land…

MrsPages on May 29th, 2007

The best time for me to think up stories is in bed. Lying there right before you go to sleep. That’s when I think up all of my poems.
That’s when I thought up up this one…

Canada
By LittlePage2

When the Red River settlers came,
To this wintry country of ours,
They were helpless if they were lame,
‘Cause they didn’t have any cars.
They traded the natives beads,
And made lots of baskets of reeds,
‘Cause they had no metal bars,
In this wonderful country of ours.

Wise King Canute

MrsPages on January 23rd, 2007

(This is a narration that Page2 (almost 9 years old) wrote today for a story in Baldwin’s Fifty Famous Stories Retold. For more information on narration visit Simply Charlotte Mason.)

Wise King Canute

O, wise King Canute, great king of the Danes,
told his officers never to praise him again.
He proved his foolish officers wrong,
that he was not so very strong.
He told the water to not touch his feet,
but the water and his feet did meet.
